Restaurant & Hospitality Construction
Build-outs, conversions and remodels for full-service and quick-service restaurants, cafes, bars and hospitality spaces.
Restaurants are among the most system-intensive spaces in commercial construction. Kitchen exhaust, fire suppression, grease management, gas, refrigeration and plumbing all have to come together before the health inspector signs off.
GIC Construction builds new restaurants and converts second-generation restaurant space for new concepts. We evaluate which existing equipment and infrastructure can be reused, coordinate kitchen equipment and hood vendors, and schedule building, fire and health department inspections into the plan from the start.
Front-of-house work gets the same attention: dining rooms, bars, restrooms, millwork, lighting and finishes built to hold up to daily service.

What Affects a Restaurant Schedule
Second-Generation Space
Existing hoods, interceptors and utilities can save money if they fit the concept. We inspect them before they are counted on.
Health Department Review
Food service plan review by the county environmental health office runs alongside the building permit and has to be scheduled with it.
Long-Lead Equipment
Hoods, walk-ins and rooftop units can take weeks or months to arrive. Early orders protect the opening date.
